In 2020, Maria Parham Health joined the national list of Best Maternity Hospitals by Newsweek, having been determined to demonstrate excellence in maternity care. With more than 500 deliveries annually, mother and baby are first at Maria Parham, with personal care tailored to the needs of each mother and her newborn.

The Maria Parham Advanced Wound Center is equipped with caring staff and specialized treatment plans, with therapy options that include hyperbaric oxygen therapy, bio-engineered tissue substitutes, debridement, and more.

As a Duke Health affiliate, Maria Parham Cancer Center features board-certified Duke radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, and hematologists. The Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) has granted a Three-Year Accreditation to Maria Parham Cancer Center. The dedicated team of multidisciplinary cancer specialists work together to develop personalized treatment plans for each patient.

The Surgical Services Department incorporates the latest minimally invasive technologies in five operating rooms. The hospital also provides the region’s only accredited respiratory services and a comprehensive Women’s Diagnostic Center. Other specialties include the region’s only accredited inpatient rehabilitation unit and the area’s most extensive GI suite, with state-of-the-art outpatient support in physical and occupational, rehabilitation and speech therapy.

Maria Parham Health was the first hospital to become a member of Duke LifePoint Healthcare. It’s a joint venture of Duke University Health System and LifePoint Hospitals. The partnership was created to build a strong network of hospitals and healthcare providers across North Carolina.
